We understand that for some businesses, uninterrupted power supply to run Life Support Equipment is critical. To receive priority attention, you need to let us know if you’re using medical equipment that relies on a continuous supply of power.
To see if this applies to your business and the life support equipment is specified please visit - http://www.finance.wa.gov.au/cms/State_Revenue/Other_Schemes/Subsidies_and_Rebates.aspx
Often events that cause power outages, such as, natural disasters or major accidents, are out of Western Power’s control. Therefore, they can’t provide any guarantees of restoration times or continuous power supply. Western Power strongly advises that you discuss a plan with your doctor to deal with potential power interruptions.
By registering as a life support customer, Western Power will take your situation into account when it organises the order of power restoration after an outage.

What should I do if my power supply is interrupted?
Here are a few suggestions to help you stay prepared in the event of an emergency.
- Always have an alternative power source nearby – such as a generator or battery backup
- Keep emergency phone numbers handy – doctor, fire, police and ambulance
- Always have a phone available that doesn’t rely on mains power
- Know the location of your nearest hospital
