Statement of Notifiable Matters under the Credit Reporting Privacy Code
Alinta Energy has a relationship with credit reporting bodies (Equifax and Dun & Bradstreet) and may disclose your personal information to these bodies and obtain credit information and credit eligibility information about you to assess your credit worthiness and determine your application for credit. If you fail to meet your payment obligations we may disclose such credit information and credit related personal information to credit reporting bodies as permitted under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Credit Reporting Privacy Code.
Alinta Energy’s Credit Policy which is available on our website, or by calling 133 702 (VIC, SA) / 13 13 58 (WA), details our policies and processes in relation to complaint handling, access to and correction of and management of your credit eligibility information and credit information.
You can request a credit reporting body not to use or disclose your credit reporting information for pre-screening of direct marketing and in circumstances relating to fraud.
