BusinessDeal Qantas Energy Plan - FAQs

Our BusinessDeal Qantas Electricity and Gas plans are only available to customers who signed up to the plan before 11.59pm AEST on 31 October 2024. Customers on BusinessDeal Qantas Electricity or Gas plans receive bonus Qantas Points for signing up to the product, along with ongoing Qantas Points for every dollar spent on their energy bills.

The BusinessDeal Qantas Electricity and Gas plans will no longer be available to new customers in VIC, NSW, QLD & SA after 11.59pm AEST on 31 October 2024.

Existing Alinta Energy customers who are on another Small Business energy plan will not be able to switch to the BusinessDeal Qantas Energy Plan after 11.59pm AEST on 31 October 2024.

If a new customer or existing Alinta Energy customer wishes to sign up or switch to the BusinessDeal Qantas Electricity or Gas plans, they can do so up until 11.59pm AEST on 31 October 2024. After this date, the product will no longer be available for new customers or existing Alinta Energy small business customers who want to switch to the BusinessDeal Qantas Electricity or Gas plans. 

No, this product will no longer be available to new customers after 11.59pm AEST on 31 October 2024.

Yes. Existing Alinta Energy customers who have signed up before 11.59pm AEST on 31 October 2024 will still remain on the product and their Qantas Points up until 11.59pm AEST on 31 October 2025. The Alinta Energy BusinessDeal Qantas Points Offer Terms and Conditions are available at www.alintaenergy.com.au/qbrofferdetails.

If a new or existing Alinta Energy customer signs up to the BusinessDeal Qantas Energy plan before 11.59pm AEST on 31 October 2024, they will still their eligible Qantas Points up until 11.59pm AEST on 31 October 2025. This includes:

(a)  3 Qantas Points for every $1 spent on Alinta Energy’s BusinessDeal Qantas Electricity product (30 days after fully paying their bill) plus:

i. New customers who sign up to the Alinta Energy Qantas BusinessDeal Electricity plan by 11.59pm AEST on 31 October 2024: 12,500 Qantas Points and a further 3 allocations of 12,500 bonus Qantas Points (every 3 months after holding the product (a total of 50,000 Qantas Points over 12 months); or

ii. Existing customers: 10,000 Qantas Points and a further 10,000 bonus Qantas Points (90 days after holding the product).      

(b)  1 Qantas Point for every $1 spent on Alinta Energy’s BusinessDeal Qantas Gas product (30 days after fully paying their bill).  

Existing Alinta Energy BusinessDeal Qantas customers will continue to their eligible Qantas Points until 11.59pm AEST on 31 October 2025.

No, if you cancel your BusinessDeal Qantas Electricity or Gas plan with Alinta Energy or move to another retailer, you will no longer Qantas Points in conjunction with this offer, as per the BusinessDeal Qantas Offer Terms and Conditions - www.alintaenergy.com.au/qbrofferdetails.
