Our power generation team delivers major achievement for site safety

Our Power Generation team has delivered a fantastic result for site safety in the 12 months from May 2022-23, reporting zero recordable injuries in the 'total recordable injury' and 'lost time injury' categories for the period.

This result was achieved thanks to the effort of the Alinta Energy personnel and contractors who spent nearly 380,000 hours collectively monitoring our project portfolio conducting 606 safety observations, 342 safety value adds and 67 audits throughout the 12-month period.

Scott Thomas, GM, Power Generation said he was proud of the team's vigilance and hard work:

"We continually look to keep safety at the forefront of all our actions, and we worked very hard to deliver zero total recordable injuries and lost time injuries.

“It’s a special achievement and rare to see such a result for a large operational business like ours.

“We’re committed to continuing to work hard on maintaining these standards into the future.”
