To help us help you, please ensure you have your Alinta Energy Customer Number handy and if you have one, your concession card details. 
 
If a Victorian (financially responsible) customer is having difficulty paying account due to hardship and has an eligible concession they may be eligible for a relief payment through the:
  • Department of Human services’ (DHS)
  • Utility Relief Grant Scheme (URGS)
applicants will be entitled to apply for the grant of maximum of $500 every two years. 

If a South Australian (financially responsible) customer is having difficulty paying an account due to hardship and has an eligible concession they may be eligible for a relief payment through the:
  • Department of Communities and Social Inclusion’s (DCSI) Emergency Electricity Payment Scheme
The customer seeking assistance with DCSI should apply through a financial counsellor, who will assess the difficulty before an application can be submitted.
