Keep track of your solar via the Alinta Energy app
Finding the right solar plan for you
Log in to MyAccount or the Alinta Energy app to compare how much solar energy you feed-in (exported to the grid) vs. what you use from the grid.

If your feed-in is the same or more than you use from the grid, Solar Balance with its high FiT may be more suitable for your home.

If you use more energy from the grid than you feed-in, a plan with lower rates and a standard FiT might be more suitable.

This plan has a stepped feed-in tariff, where you'll receive a higher feed-in tariff rate for the first 10 kWh of solar energy you export each day. After that, our standard feed-in tariff rate applies to any additional energy you send back to the grid.
You can easily track your solar exports and earning through MyAccount or the Alinta Energy app. You'll get a daily and monthly breakdown showing how much energy you've exported (in kWh) and how much you've earned (in dollars). If you export more than 10 kWh, the calculation will combine both the Solar Balance FiT and the standard FiT in your totals.
Absolutely! If you are eligible for a Premium Feed-in Tariff in Queensland or South Australia, you can sign up for the Solar Balance plan. You'll receive both the PFiT and the Solar Balance FiT.
It depends on how much energy you feed-in (export) to the grid versus how much you use from the grid.
If you export the same or more solar energy than you use from the grid, Solar Balance with its high FiT might be more suitable for your home.
If you use more electricity from the grid than you export, a plan with lower rates and a standard FiT could suit you better.
Check a recent bill, log in to MyAccount or use the app to view how much solar energy you feed-in (export) versus what you use from the grid. Need help? Check out our helpful guide here.
