Alinta Energy, one of Australia’s largest energy retailers, generators, investors and developers, has signed on as an official partner for NRL team Melbourne Storm's 2025 season.
The partnership includes leadership and branding elements. Alinta Energy will have opportunities to learn about Storm’s successful leadership culture and how they have become a dominant force in a non-traditional NRL market.
Alinta Energy will also be powering the players as they come on and off the interchange bench, with the Alinta Energy logo to be displayed on the bench for Storm home games.
Alinta Energy CEO and Managing Director Jeff Dimery said: “We can’t wait to learn from the best in the game. This is a great opportunity for us to get a firsthand account of what it took to build a great club and culture from the ground up.”
Melbourne Storm CEO Justin Rodski, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Alinta Energy as an official partner. We look forward to introducing them to the team and sharing our story and successes with them.”
In the last decade, Alinta Energy has grown from being the largest residential gas retailer in Western Australia to the preferred electricity and gas provider for over 1 million homes and businesses across Australia.
The company proudly employs around 1,000 people across the country and has customer service centres in Perth, Western Australia and Morwell in Victoria.
Alinta Energy’s determination to make energy better has put it at the forefront of the transition to renewables including building Western Australia’s highest producer of renewable energy (the Yandin Wind Farm), the first grid-forming big battery in Australia, and one of the biggest remote solar installations at the Chichester solar-gas hybrid project.
It also owns, operates and contracts energy from wind, solar, gas and coal generators across Australia – and is developing new energy sources including offshore wind and pumped hydro.
